About DocPets
DocPets is a pet-care organizer that helps users keep pet profiles, health and care information, appointments, documents, memories, and shareable pet-care materials in one place.
Current app storage: In the current production version of DocPets, the pet information you add is stored locally on your device. DocPets does not currently upload that information to a DocPets cloud account or backend.
Information you choose to enter
Depending on the features you use, you may choose to enter information such as:
- Pet names, species, breed, sex, birthday or age, weight, color, markings, microchip numbers, license numbers, and pet photos.
- Owner, emergency, veterinarian, provider, and other care-contact details.
- Vaccinations, medications, allergies, medical conditions or notes, procedures, veterinary visits, appointments, reminders, care instructions, and weight history.
- Missing-pet details, emergency-card information, memories, notes, and timeline entries.
You decide what information to add. Please avoid entering information that is not needed for your use of DocPets.
Photos and documents
DocPets can access photos, camera images, and files only when you choose to add them through supported device controls. Selected photos and document attachments are stored with the app's local data on your device. DocPets does not currently upload them to a DocPets server.
Some features let you preview, print, export, or share selected information or generated PDFs. Nothing is shared through those features until you choose the share or print action and select a destination. Information sent to another app or service is then handled under that destination's privacy practices.
Local storage, retention, and deletion
DocPets currently stores app records and premium-access status in local application storage on your device. The current app does not provide cloud backup or synchronization through DocPets.
Information generally remains on the device until you edit or delete it in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Device backups, operating-system behavior, and services you independently use to share or save exports may retain copies under their own settings and policies. Deleting an item in DocPets does not delete copies you previously shared or saved elsewhere.
Apple subscriptions and payments
DocPets offers an optional auto-renewing DocPets Premium subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system. The current U.S. price is $4.99 per month; the App Store shows the applicable localized price and billing terms before purchase. Apple processes subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and Family Sharing eligibility.
DocPets receives purchase-status information needed to recognize premium access and stores a local premium-access indicator on the device. Doc Incorporated LLC does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code. Apple may provide transaction information and sales reports to developers under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The current production version of DocPets does not include third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or cross-app tracking SDKs. DocPets does not sell your pet information or use it for targeted advertising.
Support communications
If you contact us at support@getdocpets.com, we receive the email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, protect our services, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Outside of information handled by Apple for subscriptions and information you deliberately send through a device share destination, support communications are the only user information intentionally sent directly to Doc Incorporated LLC by the current app experience. We retain support correspondence only as reasonably needed for those purposes, and you may request deletion by contacting us.
Children's privacy
DocPets is intended for pet owners and caregivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent personal information to us through support, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Security
We design DocPets to limit unnecessary data transmission and rely on device and operating-system protections for locally stored app data. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any destination where you export or share information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as DocPets changes. If we add cloud accounts, remote data storage, analytics, advertising, or other material data practices, this page will be updated to describe them. The effective date above identifies the current version.
